Physical anxiety (fight or flight)


As human beings, our nervous system is always on the lookout for threat or danger. We naturally graduate toward the negative. The physical effects of this can be:

Butterflies in the stomach

  1. Sweaty palms

  2. Rapid heart beat

  3. breathlessness

  4. Unable to eat

  5. Unable to sleep

Emotional effects

  1. Unclear thinking

  2. Catastrophising

  3. Black and white thinking

  4. All or nothing thinking
